One tortured body, other hanged and another body packed in a sack were found in the city on Monday.

One body was found lying in a field near Manawala which was hanged to death. The other body recovered was also lying in the field near Mandiali on Lahore Road near Housing Colony police station. And the other body was found in a jute bag lying in a road side ditch near Kot Abdul Malik. All the dead bodies were removed to city mortuary house for autopsy, the police said.

Meanwhile, two persons were killed while 5 others sustained injuries in an exchange of firing between two rival group in Dera Gujran near Farooqabad in Sunday night.

Manzoor and Sulaman groups had an old enmity due to which four people had already been killed in past. They came face to face Sunday evening and opened fire on each other. As a result, Sulaman and Khyzar Hayat died on the spot while four other suffered injuries, three of them seriously and were shifted to DHQ Hospital. Heavy contingent of police reached the spot.

FACTORY RAIDED: An Agriculture Department team accompanied by police raided a fake pesticide factory running for the last several years with the connivance of the department officials near Qila Sattar shah. The raiding team arrested factory owner Waqas and four others and also seized 770 fictitious pesticide bags. Factory area police got registered a case.

PROTEST: All Pakistan Clerks Association Secretary General Najmul Hassan flayed alleged inequality in burial grant being awarded to gazetted and non gazetted staff.

He said that discrimination has created by the lawmakers allowing Rs10,000 for the gazetted officers and Rs4,000 for ordinary employee. The meeting demanded equal grant for every employee for the purpose.
