Tehsil Municipal Officer Ch Muhammad Nadeem has claimed that eatables and other commodities are available at lower prices in Ramazan Bazaars as compared to the open market.

Paying a visit to Sasta Ramazan Bazaar, the TMO instructed the official concerned to make special arrangements for women and senior citizens at Ramazan bazaars.

He said that 33 fruits stalls, 32 fresh vegetables stalls, 6 chicken stalls, 2 beaf stalls,2 mutton stalls,2 egg stall, 8 beverages stalls, 5 dates stalls, 2 karayana shop , and 2 flour shop , and 2sugar stalls 2 has been set up in Ramazan Bazaar. He said that a CCTV Monitoring Room also set up for the security of the bazaar.

He said subsidy given under Ramazan package by the Punjab CM was being spent on the provision of relief to people. Ramazan Bazaars have been transformed into Ramazan markets through better management and continuous monitoring, he said and added the government had taken coordinated steps for providing quality essentials at cheaper rates to people during Ramazan.
