WASHINGTON - US President Barack Obama postponed moving the US embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem by another six months, the White House announced. Ever since a law was passed in 1995 ordering the transfer of the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, US presidents have routinely delayed the move. A senior White House official said on condition of anonymity that US policy regarding the status of Jerusalem remains unchanged, and that it is a final-status issue to be resolved within the framework of Israeli-Palestinian peace talks.
