ISLAMABAD (APP) - Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani Sunday telephoned the chief ministers of Sindh and Balochistan to inquire about the impact of cyclone on the coastal areas and relief and rescue efforts. He directed the chairman National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) to visit the affected areas today (Monday) to asses the damages. In this connection, the Cabinet Division has already been directed to transport necessary relief goods. Gilani urged the provincial govts, Pakistan Maritime Security Agency and NDMA to work in tandem for handling the emergency situation and providing relief to the affected people on war footings.
