PESHAWAR - Two policemen were killed and two others were injured when a remote controlled blast hit a police patrolling party in the Daudzai Police Station precincts on Thursday.
Police officials said that the bomb was planted on the roadside and was exploded by a remote control near Neora area of Dawoodzai when a patrolling police party was passing from there. Police officials at Dawoozai police station confirmed that two police personnel were killed and two others were injured in the incident. The injured were shifted to the Peshawar Lady Reading Hospital where they were out of danger. The deceased were; Constable Imtiaz and Constable Fazl Rahman.
A police squad reached the site after the incident and taped off the crime scene.
Separately, unknown persons fired three rockets on Bacha Khan International Airport in Peshawar. However, no casualty was reported. All the rockets fell in nearby fields.
