JHANG/GUJRANWALA/HAFIZABAD

At least ten persons including a woman and minor were killed and 10 others were injured in separate incidents of violence, enmity and mishaps over the past 24 hours.

According to detail, two motorcyclists namely Muhammad Waris, resident of Chak 270 and Allah Ditta resident of Chak Chah Jutianwala situated in Satellite Town Police were crushed to death when their motorcycle (JGL-1251) was hit a speeding truck (ZA-4544) on Faisalabad Road. Both the deceased were on the way to Faisalabad on a motorcycle. Three other passengers were also injured in the incident. The truck driver made good his escape from the scene while the Satellite Town Police have registered a case.

In another accident, a ten-year-old student namely Tahir Abbas, a resident of Mauza Bohr was hit to death by an out of control donkey-cart when he was going to school on his bicycle. An elderly person was injured in the incident.

In another incident one Sakhawat Ali, a resident of Chak 197-JB along with his two friends - Zafar and Ziaul Haq was going to Bhawana on a motorcycle when the bike rammed into a roadside tree due to speeding. Resultantly, Sakhawat Ali was killed on the spot while his two friends sustained serious injurious and were admitted to DHQ Hospital Jhang.

Similarly, Abdul Ghaffar, a resident of Mauza Hassu Wali was gunned down by his rivals including Kashif, Asif and others over old enmity. The Shorkot Police have registered a case against the accused.

Whereas a five-year-old child, son of Nasir Bhatti, a resident of Kot Shakir was electrocuted when he was playing with a table fan.

In DASKA, 22-year-old labourer namely Muhammad Shehbaz was electrocuted to death he accidentally touched the main electricity supply line while working on the rooftop of a building in village Kaanwa Lit here the other day. He received severe electric shocks and died on the spot.

In MANDI BAHAUDDIN, A labourer died after falling from a three story plaza on Phalia Road here the other day. Reportedly, victim Ghulam Mustafa was working at third story of an under construction plaza on Phalia Road when he fell down and died instantly. His colleagues informed that victim had physically exhausted while working in the extremely hot weather.

In HAFIZABAD, the Pindi Bhattian Saddr Police found a body of 18-year-old kidnapped boy in the nearby field in village Garhi Mumbran.

According to police, Nasar Khan was mysteriously disappeared on June 1 and his parents and relatives went from pillar to post in his search but to no avail.

After four days, his dead body with signs of violence was found dumped in the village fields. The Saddar Police shifted the body to the Pindi Bhattian THQ Hospital for autopsy.

The police have registered a case of kidnapping and murder. The motive of the offence could not be ascertained as yet. In another incident, a young married women committed suicide by jumping from the rooftop of a Seminary near Chak Chattha on Thursday.

According to Rescue source, Uzma Bibi, a resident of Gujrat was getting religious education in the religious seminary near Chak Chattha. She was suffering from mental ailment and due to depression, jumped down from the rooftop of the Madrissa and received fatal injuries. She was rushed to DHQ hospital by Rescue 1122 but could not survive.

In GUJRANWLA, a woman was stabbed to death by her former husband. Reportedly, Mehnaz was divorced by Asif, an addict some time ago. She was on her way to bazaar when Asif stopped and stabbed her to death. The police have lodged an FIR and started investigation.
