Gender discrimination is a norm in our society as we think that males are superior, they are the policy makers in their homes as well as in offices. If a woman reaches a powerful position she is detested by her male colleagues and she finds resistance from them. We live in a patriarchal society which has created many problems. In the civilized and progressive countries we can see the males and females being treated equally. Even in our educated families, the husband dictates what should be done without consulting his spouse. Our young females find resistance from their father’ if they want to pursue a career based education, as most of them believe that a woman’s place is in the house. It is about time that we became a mature society and gave equal rights to our women.
