The nation is in deep sorrow over the attack on the Sri Lankan cricket team. Sympathies have been pouring for Sri Lanka both from here and all over the world by cricketing as well as non-cricketing nations. The Indians are happy to be away in New Zealand and not in Pakistan. One thought the ICC Secretary has been a tad too quick in canceling all World Cup matches to be held in Pakistan. It is worth noting that not a single word of consolation has been spoken by the foreign dignitaries to the people whose dear ones actually lost their lives in this incident. Our country has given blood and earned nothing except condemnation. -ASMA AKHTAR, Karachi, via e-mail, March 4.
