KARACHI - Five people were killed in different incidents that took place in City here on Friday. Two alleged bandits killed a cashier at a filling station located in Korangi. As per details, the two armed men riding a motorcycle killed a man at Korangi area within the jurisdiction of Zaman Town Police Station. Police officials said that the deceased namely Nadeem, 20, used to work as a cashier at the filling station where culprits shot him when he resisted during a robbery bid. The armed men then fled with the looted money worth thousands of rupees. The deceased died on the spot. The body was taken to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre and later handed over to the family. Police registered the FIR No 199/09 on behalf of manager of the pump against unidentified culprits. In another incident a man was killed over some old feud within the jurisdictions of Gulshan-e-Maymar Police Station. The unidentified culprits killed a 35-year-old man Sharafat Khan at his house located at Mullah Essa Goth. Local Police officer said the Sharafat hailed from Peshawar from where he had escaped after allegedly raping a woman around a month ago and ever since he had been on the run. The incident took place in front of the deceased's wife. She said he was tortured before being slaughtered. The deceased used to work as a labourer in New Sabzi Mandi. The case was registered. In yet another fatal incident, a student was crushed to death. A 12-year-old boy namely Abdul Rehman was crushed to death by a speeding passenger bus of route number D-7, while he was crossing a road. The accident took place near his residence located at Sector 8, Baldia Town within the jurisdiction of Saeedabad Police Station. The deceased was said to be eldest among three siblings and was the student of class four. Police arrested the responsible driver namely Hamza and took the vehicle into the custody. In another accident a speeding loading truck hit and killed a man at Behns Colony area, in the jurisdiction of Shah Latif Police Station. The deceased died on the spot. The body was taken to JPMC for legal formalities where he was identified as Talib Hussain, 30, a resident of the same area where the accident took place. No case was registered till the time this report was filed. A woman was found dead from a water tank. The woman was found dead from a water tank at Chamra Chowrangi within the jurisdiction of Korangi Industrial Area Police Station. The body was taken to JPMC where she was identified as Farzana, 55. Police said that the woman was a beggar by profession and was abnormal as well. He said that it could be an accident and she fell into the tank.
