QUETTA - The activists of Balochistan University Academic Staff Association (ASA) on Tuesday staged a demonstration on Sariab Road outside varsity to condemn the kidnapping of their colleague Dost Muhammad Tareen.
On Monday night, unidentified armed men kidnapped Dost Muhammad Tareen, professor of Department of Education at the university, from Satellite Town.
The protestors were carrying placards and banners inscribed with demands and shouting slogans for immediate release of Tareen. They expressed their grave concern over the rising incidents of kidnapping for ransom, saying that the culprits did not even spare the teachers.
They also criticized the administration for not taking action against the criminals. They demanded for the immediate release of the kidnapped professor, warning if he was not released they would widen their protest.
