ISLAMABAD - Pakistan Rowing Federation (PRF) has arranged a training camp of national rowing players who will participate in the World Olympic Qualification Tournament which will be held in South Korea from April 17 to 25.

A four-member national rowing team consists of recipient of pride of performance M Akram (Wapda), Zahoor Abbas and Asim Ijaz (Navy) and Waliullah (Army) while Irfan Mehmood and Shahid Nazeer will act as team officials.

The rowing team is daily practicing in two sessions at morning 7am to 11am and in evening 4pm to 6pm.

Talking to TheNation, PRF secretary Rizwanul Haq has pined high hopes on the chances of Pakistan Rowing team in the qualification championship and said: “The boys are training really hard and I am sure if things went in the right direction these boys are more than capable of returning home as champions.”
