OKARA - Social Welfare Women Development and Baitul Mall Punjab Secretary Sardar Muhammad Akram Javed has said that the Punjab’s awareness campaign about dengue virus is underway.  Addressing a seminar in Art Council Hall, he further said that free medical facilities were being provided at all public sector hospitals across the province. He added that efforts were being made to fight the virus.  Mr Akram said that volunteers were visiting all the areas to promote awareness about safety and precautionary measures against dengue.

On the occasion, the Commissioner said all possible sources were being utilised for the eradication of dengue and no stone will be left unturned in this regard.  Sahiwal Division Commissioner Qazi Mohammad Ashfaq, DCO Saif Anjum, Chief Social Mobiliser Punjab Mrs Shaista Perveen, DOC Tariq Karim Khokher, Additional Collector Zaheer Abbas Malik, EDO Health, Dr Ashraf Javeed, Dr Tariq Hameed, Mian Mohammad Munir, DO Social Welfare Rana Mohammad Ashraf and representatives of NGOs also attended the seminar.
