RAWALPINDI - The Judicial Commission (JC) will visit India on March 14 to record statements of key persons involved in the Mumbai attacks case probe.

FIA Special Prosecutor Chaudhry Zulfiqar informed the Anti-Terrorism Court Rawalpindi Number 1 Judge Shahid Raffique, who took up Mumbai attacks case here on Tuesday.

The prosecutor also apprised the court that the Interior Ministry has appointed its Deputy Director Fazl-e-Majid as Coordinator for the Judicial Commission, which would fly from Lahore on March 14 for New Dehli. He presented a notification issued by the Interior Ministry to this affect in the court.

The Commission would stay in India till March 22 and record the statements of Ramesh Mahale, the investigating officer of the case and R V Sawant-Waghul, the magistrate.

 who had recorded the confessional statement of lone surviving Ajmal Kasab and the doctors who cured the victims of Mumbai attacks, Ch Zulfiqar added. The court deferred the hearing  till March 10. The seven accused Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi, Shahid Jamil Riaz, Hamad Amin Sadiq, Jamil Ahmed, M Younis Anjum, Abdul Wajid and Mazhar Iqbal were also present in the courtroom during the hearing of the case.
