Lahore  - Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif and Interior Minister Ch Nisar Ali Khan met with Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif at Raiwind on Thursday and discussed with him the peace talks with Taliban and other matters relating to the national security.
Sources in the party said it was an informal meeting wherein the leaders shared their views on the fresh process of talks between the government and the Taliban committees and their success prospects. Sources said the recent incidents of terrorism in Islamabad, Hangu and other parts of the country also came under discussion apart from their impact on the talks process and the law and order situation in the country. The leaders discussed the level of sincerity on both sides to achieve peace and also the strategy to effectively implement the agreement if the peace was reached through talks.  Sources say the interior minister also presented a preliminary report on the investigations held into the recent terrorist attacks.

TALIBAN WHO WANT TO TALK’
Punjab Minister for Law Rana Sanaullah has said that terrorists would be paid in the same coin while talks would be held only with those who want to talk.
In a media interaction here on Thursday, the Law Minister supported that the Army must be kept abreast of the talks process as this institution has a vital role to play. On the terrorist attacks by Ahrarul Hind, he said if Taliban are sincere about the peace talks they should help government curb activity of that organisation.
He expressed the hope about the success of the peace talks.
Replying to a question on PTI Chief Imran Khan’s stand on the talk, he said that Imran Khan is a non-serious person who always harps on the tune of election rigging to give a lollypop to his workers as he has nothing to state.
Citing example of sit-in against Nato supplies and talks with Taliban, he said that Imran is building such an image of himself that he would become “Asghar Khan” even before 2018.  To a question on holding Local Government elections in Punjab, he said had the LHC order to scrap delimitation of constituencies not come to the picture, election would have taken place on the fixed day of January 30th.
He said now the ball is in the Election Commission court which has to carry the fresh delimitations. He said MNAs and MPAs have also been elected at the local level and their interest in the development project of their constituencies does not leave the people at grass-root unattended. However, he recognised the importance of LG as a tier of government which is vital for flourishing democracy.
The Minister told the media that the upcoming 7th session of the Punjab Assembly carries a special session on Friday which is purely dedicated to the women corresponding with the observance of International Women Day.  In that session significance legislation would be done to empower women in every sector of national life and involve them in decision making in every public department and the government affairs.  He said 24994 women will be assigned the role of decision making in public departments on that day for which the CM will himself make an announcement. He said that the current session will also discuss next budget for at least five days in addition to legislating the bills.
To a question on the allegations levelled by Jamshed Dasti MNA, he rubbished the same stating that the allegations are general and not specific to any member as such are not more than nonsense.
The Minister also opposed the politicians who take to extreme stance instead of adopting a moderate way.
