56 candidates vie for 15 Hindu Council seats

Islamabad - A total of 56 Hindu candidates have submitted their nomination papers for contesting on 15 seats of Pakistan Hindu Council (PHC). The candidates have been vying for the slots of president, vice president, secretary general, joint secretary, finance secretary, and 10 seats of managing committee members. Patron-in-chief PHC, MNA Dr Ramesh Kumar Vankwani said the election of Pakistan Hindu Council will be held on April 3.
Dr Ramesh Vankwani expressed his satisfaction on the achievements of Pakistan Hindu Council, which he had founded 10 years ago to unite the Pakistani Hindu. Vankwani, were of the view that the restless struggle for ensuring the minorities rights through the platform of Pakistan Hindu Council is being acknowledged on national and international level equally.
“Pakistan is our country and every citizen must play his due role for the peace and prosperity,” Dr Ramesh concluded, while adding that the election process would depict the democratic values of the country.
