Supreme Court has established a three-member bench on the issue of the deaths of children in Mathi.

The bench under CJ Saqib Nisar has started the hearing on Wednesday.

The bench ordered the Sindh government to identify the causes of recent deaths of children in Mathi and ordered to appoint a committee for identifying the real causes. The committee has presented its first report before the bench.

The three-member bench declared the report as unsatisfactory because the reasons which have identified in the report for sudden deaths of children are general, not specific.

Also, the committee did not hold anyone responsible for deaths. The Court will proceed the hearing after 15 days.
