Cop in Rawalpindi attacked, killed

Station House Officer (SHO) Race Course, Mian Imran got killed in a targeted attack in Rawalpindi on Sunday when anonymous bike-riders put up fire on him. 

As per the police sources, SHO Imran, after leaving house encountered armed bike-riders near Kutchery Chowk (Roundabout) and who opened fire, killing him on the spot. 

“The suspects fled from the spot after the incident,” they said.

So far, his body has been boarded to hospital while the forensic reports of the cop are awaited.

Similar incident happened in February 2020, when a cop was killed after a police party who got fired upon by criminals in Wah Cantt area of Rawalpindi.

According to the sources, a raid was carried out by a police cop in Islamabad to investigate the culprits. 

The miscreants were able to run away from the scene.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Pothohar Syed Ali, SDPO and other top officials of  Taxila police also reached at the site of the incident.
