LAHORE Pakistans leading tennis player Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi has made his entry into the top 50 of the ATP Doubles Rankings. Pairing with Rohan Bopanna of India, Aisam overcame a difficult first round match at the Estroil Open in Portugal. Aisam and Bopanna were drawn against the 4th Seed British pair of Colin Fleming and Ken Skupski. The 4th seeds were rampant in the first set and won 6-2. However, Aisam and Bopanna, having won their first ATP Tour title earlier this year, came back strongly in the second set, winning 6-3, to force a super tie breaker. Here, the Asians were dominant and won by a considerable gap 10-5. They face the homegrown pair of Pedro Sousa and Leonardo Tavares in the quarter-final.
