RAWALPINDI Lahore High Court (LHC) Rawalpindi Bench on Thursday issued notices to Former President Pervaiz Musharraf and three others in a petition filed seeking Courts directions for registration of second FIR against him and others in respect of bomb blast occurred on July 17, 2007 at the entrance of Katcheri F-8 Markaz in Islamabad. LHC Judge Justice Asad Munir issued notices to Pervaiz Musharraf, Former Federal Interior Minister Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao, Former Secretary Interior Kamal Shah and Former DG (IB) Ejaz Shah and directed them to reply the Court within two weeks in this regard and adjourned the proceedings in the petition till next date of hearing. The Petitioner Muhammad Aslam Chaudhary had moved the Court through his counsel Asad Rajput and made Former President Pervaiz Musharraf, SSP Islamabad Capital Territory, Former Federal Interior Minister Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao, Former Secretary Interior Kamal Shah, Former DG (IB) Ejaz Shah and four others as respondents. However, petitioners counsel requested the Court to add name of Former CM Punjab Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi in the list of respondents and the Court allowed him to do so. In his petition, he stated that at the schedule time of arrival of Chief Justice of Pakistan, a bomb blast had occurred at the entrance of F-8 Markaz. The said blast of a timed device which was later wrongly termed as a suicide blast by the Administration, was so sudden and severe that all present on the occasion were in a state of panic and confusion, he maintained. He added that during the time when the petitioner and others were undertaking the rescue activities, one Nasir Aftab SP (ICT) came there before whom the petitioner made a statement mentioning the names of all the accused persons. He further added that the said accused persons and others had conspired with malafide intentions to murder the CJ of Pakistan. He continued that the petitioner was given the assurance by the said officer that an FIR would be lodged as per his statement against the delinquents as they were responsible for the occurrence. He said that later, he was told by police officials that an FIR was lodged and sealed wherein the version of the petitioner and others was completely ignored.
