ISLAMABAD PML-N Chief Nawaz Sharif had to postpone special meetings scheduled for Thursday after MPs from Hazara reportedly refused to attend the same. According to informed sources, the separate meetings that were to be chaired by the party Quaid Nawaz Sharif were to discuss partys reorganisation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as well as the situation in Hazara region. The sources privy to these developments informed TheNation that Nawaz Sharif had to put off his visit to the Federal Capital and postponed the meetings after the party MPs from Hazara refused to be present there. Former PML-N Secretary General Iqbal Zafar Jhagra on Wednesday confirmed to TheNation that an informal meeting of the partys senior leaders would be held under the chairmanship of Nawaz Sharif, however, he was not aware of its agenda. Meanwhile, a spokesman of the party said that Nawaz Sharif had to postpone the meeting because of his private engagements in Lahore. The meeting will be rescheduled, he said and rejected the impression that the party MPs from Hazara refused to attend the scheduled meeting. However, the insiders maintained that the PML-N had to face crises for backing Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, which had not only caused embarrassment for the party in Hazara but also gave birth to a serious leadership crises in the province. PML-N central leader and sitting MNA, Sardar Mehtab Ahmed Khan Abbasi has already sent his resignation to Nawaz Sharif, however, the decision had been postponed with a view to persuade him to take back his decision.
