Child labour: a curse

We all talk about issues like child labour and human rights, but we fail to understand that all this is possible in the countries that have achieved their basic goals, such as providing free basic education (matriculation) as well as health facilities. Pakistan is not a welfare state and it seems that it will never become one, as we all are striving for personal gains, rather than collective ones as a nation.
Child labour in Pakistan is growing fast due to inflation. Though children are the future of any country, unfortunately, a large number of them have to work to support their families. It is unfortunate that most of these children are abused and eventually become criminals.
Unfortunately, there seem to be no sense of philanthropy or state-run institutions to help these poor children. In such circumstances, the nation must help to provide free housing and education facilities for poor children.
