Multan: An anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Multan has sentenced a convict to 117 years life imprisonment in an acid attack case.

According to details, the convict Amjad along with his companions threw acid on Riaz and his wife Jaweda on December 7, 2014 and escaped after the incident.

Officials of Raja Ram police station arrested the culprits and presented them before the court on which the main culprit Amjad was imprisoned for 117 years whereas his two aides Munawar and Sanwar were acquitted on the basis of benefit of doubt.

The decision was announced by ATC’s court number 2 Judge Sajjad Ahmed.
