The strong message going out to all and sundry in Karachi is that no more. No more will Karachi be held hostage to crime and lawlessness. No more will its residents live in fear. No more will it tolerate chaos and violence.

The government has deployed the Rangers to conduct an operation in Karachi to root out the menace of evil once and for all. The Rangers are not only apprehending the violent elements, they are also trying to figure out the source of their funding and are trying to stop it.

Most important is the eradication of banned militant organisations. They continue to operate in Karachi with impunity. Not just the Federal and Provincial governments but all parties and all stakeholders must come together to make Karachi operation a success. It may not happen overnight but it can happen. It must happen. Karachi’s future depends on it.
