LAHORE  - At least four persons including a 24-year-old woman were murdered in different parts of the provincial metropolis on Wednesday.

Police said that a man and woman were shot dead by their relatives in separate incidents in Hanjarwal while a real estate agent was killed in drive-by shooting in the posh Johar Town locality. Another man was found tortured to death in Mughalpura. The police have removed the bodies to the morgue for autopsy.

As per details, a 30-year-old property dealer was shot dead by unidentified motorcyclists in Johar Town on early Wednesday.

Two motorcyclists intercepted car-rider Mahmood Khan on the main road and opened straight fire on him. The gunmen fled instantly while Khan was rushed to the Jinnah Hospital with multiple bullet injuries where he expired later. The body was moved to the morgue fro autopsy. The police have registered a murder case against unidentified killers and are investigating with no arrest made yet.

In another incident of shooting, a 22-year-old woman was killed by her brother-in-law in Hanjarwal. The family told the police that Sajid shot dead Maira and fled the crime scene. Police investigators say the woman was killed over an affair.

The police have removed the body to the morgue for autopsy and are investigating with no arrest made yet.

In another incident in the same Hanjarwal police area, a 32-year-old man was shot dead by unidentified gunmen in the main Mansoora Bazaar on Wednesday afternoon. An official of the Edhi ambulance service said that the man, identified as Gulfam, died on the spot. The body was moved to the Jinnah hospital’s morgue for autopsy. The police are investigating. A murder case was also registered with Hanjarwal police.

Also, a 30-year-old youth was found tortured to death in Mughalpura police limits on Wednesday. An eyewitness told the police that unidentified person(s) fled after throwing off the body from an auto-rickshaw. The police are yet to ascertain the identity of the deceased. An official said that there were severe torture marks on the body parts of the man. The body was shifted to the morgue for autopsy.  

Meanwhile, a 30-year-old man was found dead from Ghalib market police precincts on early Wednesday. Some passersby spotted the body alongside a footpath and contacted the police by phone. The body was moved to the morgue for autopsy.

Police investigators say they believe the man, unidentified so far, was a drug addict. Further investigations are underway.
