Islamabad: Former president, Asif Ali Zardari, left for Kabul on a one-day visit to Afghanistan today.

During his visit, the former president is expected to hold a meeting with the Afghan President Ashraf Ghani, Chief Executive Officer Dr Abdullah Abdullah and other leaders.

Topics related to Pak-Afghan bilateral relations, efforts for bringing peace in the region and the Afghan reconciliation process will be discussed during the meetings.

He is accompanied by former PM Yousuf Raza Gilani and Vice President of Pakistan People’s Party, Sherry Rehman, during the visit.
