KASUR- The police must pay respect and honour the public at police stations and no ignorance will be tolerated in this regard.

Kasur DPO Syed Ali Naisr Rizvi stated at a meeting held here to review law and order situation in the district on Friday.

On the occasion, the top cop warned the officers that any irregularity and corruption would not be tolerated in the police stations. “Cases will be registered against police officials found involved in corruption or abuse of power,” he warned.

During the meeting, the criminal cases registered over the past year were scrutinized. On the occasion, Mr Rizvi awarded commendatory certificates and cash prizes to some SHOs over their brilliant performance while admonished and charge sheeted seven SHO for their inefficiency. The DPO pointed out that search operations under the National Action Plan, would be continued in the district on daily basis.

Regarding the holy month of Ramazan, he directed the police officials to arrange foolproof security measures in Ramzan Bazaars and mosques. He also directed the officer to set up special police camps at Ramazan Bazaars. ASP (Investigations) Baqa Muhammad Bugti, DSP City Ikram Khan, DSP Saddr Mirza Arif Rasheed, DSP Chunian Quddus Baig, DSP Pattoki Ali Akhtar and DSP (Headquarters) Hassan Daniyal Bashir attended the meeting.
