islamabad - Islamabad police are going to set up a corporate office (police station) at Fatima Jinnah Park (F-9) which will resolve the complaints of residents in no time.

Inspector General of Islamabad Police, Tariq Masood Yasin told a group of traders yesterday that the summary in this regard has already been sent to the interior ministry. He said the purpose of the initiative is to resolve the complaints of residents without any hassle. The delegation of Islamabad Industrial Area Association headed by its Senior Vice President Zakriya Zia and General Secretary Mirza Muhammad Ali met IGP and congratulated him on assuming his charge and showed confidence that under his command, police department will perform to its capacity. Later, the delegation members informed the IGP regarding the civic issues faced by the residents of Industrial Area, particularly street crimes, theft, robbery and traffic issues. IGP Tariq Yasin ordered on spot to resolve such issues.

Meanwhile, Secretariat police recovered a dead body of a minor Hidayatullah (3) from a water tank near Bari Imam. According to the eyewitnesses, unknown persons tied the minor with ropes before dropping him into the water tank. The dead body was shifted to the hospital for autopsy.

Meanwhile, Islamabad police have arrested 15 outlaws from various areas of the city and recovered weapons from their possession, a police spokesman said yesterday. On a tip off, he said, ASI Muhammad Shakeel from Koral police station raided a flat in Ghori Town and nabbed eight persons for their alleged involvement in immoral activities. The nabbed persons included Khalid, Abdul Hakeem, Shakir and five girls.

Nilore police nabbed Yasir Manzoor for his involvement in aerial firing while Shalimar police arrested Azmat Mehmud for having a 30-bore pistol. Tarnol police arrested Israr and Jabran for selling petroleum product illegally while CIA police nabbed Abdul Naseem alias Abdul in possession of a 9-MM pistol. Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is underway.
