The senior official of Karachi Rangers Colonel Qaiser said Rangers School College Protection System has been launched in Karachi, Waqt News reported. This involves the use of software to protect educational institutions from any kind of terror threat.
While addressing the press conference the Rangers officer said this software will be used via mobile phones.
“We have launched its application which can be downloaded easily on cell phones,” he said. “We have divided the city in 60 parts for the implementation of this system. This app can also be helpful in tackling street crimes, thefts and other crimes.”
The Sindh Information Advisor, Maula Baksh Chandio also appreciated this step.
“The step is being taken under the National Action Plan (NAP),” he said while addressing the press along with Rangers authorities. “We are proud of our national institutions like Rangers and we have always put our suggestions in front of them for the betterment of Karachi.”
Chandio added that all major hospitals will also be included in this protection system.
“Both Rangers and the provincial government are working in tandem to make Karachi more peaceful,” he maintained.
