Acting PM to be finalised by 16th: Khursheed

KHAIRPUR/SUKKUR5 - Opposition Leader in National Assembly and PPP senior leader Syed Khursheed Shah has said that name of an impartial caretaker prime minister having good character will be announced by May 16.

He uttered these remarks while addressing the ceremonies after laying down the foundation stone of Allama Iqbal Open University’s regional campus near Rohri and IBA University Auditorium Sukkur. He also talked to mediamen.

Shah said, “Even scientists agree that aliens do exist but they dwell in skies. There have been presence of aliens during elections in Pakistan. Aliens have played role all over the world including Pakistan in elections. They are part of electoral systems across the globe including Pakistan.” Shah was responding to the statements made by former premier Nawaz Sharif outside the accountability court on Thursday.

Nawaz Sharif had said that he was not contesting elections against the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) or Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf but ‘aliens’. Moreover, he added, ‘aliens’ were busy working on installing a parliament of their choice. He said NAB was working against corruption in the country.

Shah further said, “There are no permanent rivals in politics. No one is your friend in politics.”

He further said that even MQM-P had rejected Farooq Sattar, he was sacked by his own people and his party was not accepting him. He alleged that most of the electricity theft is reported in Lahore.

He claimed that the names under consideration were not controversial and all the people being considered were experts in administration.

He said Farooq Sattar was feeling panicked due to losing popularity.

Shah said there was no final word in politics as it changes with circumstances.

He challenged Punjab government that the PPP government did more for South Punjab than what PML-N did in 10 years. He said that there was more electricity theft in Lahore as proven in parliamentary committee, still there is less load-shedding than other cities. He said the circumstances were favourable for holding elections on time as constituency delimitation had almost been completed. He lauded the efforts of PPP founder Zulfiqar Bhutto by saying that he wanted to make Pakistan the ‘Asian Tiger’ “This country needs good leadership. I will bring technical universities campuses in Sukkur,” he said.
