Bailiff recovered from illegal detention

LAHORE - District and Sessions Judge Sohail Nasir Saturday directed the court officials to send a bailiff report of Zulifqar Ali to SHO Lorry Adda Police Station for registering an FIR against persons who misbehaved with Zulifqar (bailiff) during his duty of recovering a detenue Naveed from the illegal detention of Dalair Shah and Zakaullah. As per details, Tauheed Afzal had filed a habeas corpus petition in the court and prayed to the court that his brother Naveed be recovered from the illegal detention of the abductors and handed over to him. On court orders, Zulifqar visited general bus stand (Lorry Adda) on Friday and found Naveed tied with ropes in an old bus, after a search of about an hour. Abductors Dalair Shah and Zakaullah offered resistance and misbehaved with the bailiff Zulifqar Ali even when he informed them that he is the bailiff of District and Sessions Court. But after resistance by the abductors, the bailiff got success in recovering Naveed. On Saturday the court handed over Naveed to his brother Tauheed (petitioner). 2 women recovered in habeas corpus pleas District and Sessions Court dealing with a habeas corpus petition released Zari Bibi, wife of Muhammad Ikhlaq (petitioner) resident of Iqbal Town. The court had appointed a bailiff who recovered the detenue Zari from Police Chowki Margzar Colony of Hanjarwal Police Station. The bailiff recovered the detenue from one sub-inspector Dilshad Ahamd. On Saturday District and Sessions Court Judge released Zari and handed over her to the petitioner. District and Sessions Court in another habeas corpus petition on Saturday handed over the custody of Iqra, wife of petitioner Muhammad Shahzad, resident of Kot Khawaja Saeed after recovering her from the illegal detention of her uncle. The petitioner (husband) maintained that Iqras uncle Liquat Ali, resident of Ghoray Shah had detained his wife Iqra illegally as Iqra wanted to come back to her home. The court appointed Zulifqar Ali as bailiff who recovered Iqra from the illegal detention of Liquat Ali. On Saturday Iqra told the court that she wanted to go with his husband, on which the court allowed her to go with her husband Muhammad Shahzad.
