LAHORE –  Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Lahore Capt (Retd) Sohail Chaudhry has dismissed four traffic wardens from service on the charges of absence.

According to officials, traffic wardens including Naveed Ahsan, Waseem, Ghazanfar and Ghulam Rasool have been dismissed from service. The CTO has also warned the policemen that there would be zero-tolerance for the wardens found involved in negligence, laxity or any misconduct.

IGP praises cops: IGP Muhammad Habib-ur-Rehman has said that the crimes rate is declining across the province due to the effective policing and hard working officers.

The brave policemen who put their lives at stake to fight against the criminals to help ensure justice are infact doing a commendable job, he said.

According to a police spokesperson, the IGP expressed these views in his special messages sent to RPO Multan Aamir Zulifqar and RPO Gujranwala Muhammad Amin for carrying out two separate and successful operations against the criminals.

As per details, crossfire erupted between Multan police (Jalalpur police station) and six Proclaimed Offenders when the police raided a house to arrest the criminals late on Monday night.
