LAKKI MARWAT - A delegation consisting of elders of several villages called on Chief Executive, Peshawar Electric Supply Company, Tariq Sadozai at his office on Tuesday and discussed with him the electricity related problems of the area.
MNA Humayun Saifullah led the delegation which apprised the Pesco chief executive about the pace of work on ongoing projects of power sector and on installation of power feeders in grid stations”, said a press release issued by influential Saifullahs’ spokesman Shadi Khan on Tuesday. 
The delegation also furnished valuable suggestions to improve power supply system in the district and resolve electricity related problems of the residents. On the request of elders the Pesco chief assured that separate feeders would be installed in grid stations for Kurrum Par and Abdulkhel areas.
He also assured that Shahbaazkhel feeder in 132KV Darra Pezu grid station would be energized within one week which would help to improve electricity voltage in several villages and hamlets of the district.
Sadozai called upon the elders to use their influence to eliminate the menace of electricity theft, convince people to pay their electricity bills and cooperate with Pesco officials to improve recoveries from defaulters.
Police arrest 2, recover arms
Police claimed to have arrested two persons while seizing narcotics and weapons from a house in Mughal Manjiwala, a locality in the outskirts of Lakki Marwat, on Tuesday.
On information that two people are busy in making small packets of hashish for selling purpose in a house owned by one Gul Rehman in Mughal Manjiwala, a police contingent headed by SHO Lakki Muhammad Ismael raided over it”, said an official.
He told that the law enforcers arrested both men identified as Attiqur Rehman and Shamsur Rehman and recovered 1200 grams hashish from their possession. “During search police also recovered a repeater gun, 14 pistols, spare magazines and a good number of bullets from the house”, he maintained. 
Police registered a case against the arrested accused persons and owners of the house Gul Rehman and started investigation.
