PHA up to make Lahore ‘city of flowers’

LAHORE – The Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) has been endeavouring to make the provincial capital as a ‘city of flowers’ as part of arrangements for the forthcoming international events, said Director General Muhammad Mahmood.
In this connection, he ordered PHA Engineering Director Izhar Ahmed Khan, Marketing Director Mudassar Ijaz and other officials concerned to especially decorate the the historical places, including the Hazoori Bagh, Badshahi Mosque and Lahore Fort, to make these places a symbol of beauty so that the residents could feel proud to receive the foreign visitors.
He asked the officers to maintain all the fountains of the City and decorate the canal with coloured boards. The director general after visiting the decorated areas expressed his satisfaction and ordered to improve the arrangements.
International events like dengue awareness seminar, Kabaddi championship and national games of youth festival are scheduled for the next week.
