SIALKOT -  Federal Minister for Defence, Water and Power Khawaja Asif declared that armed forces of Pakistan are capable enough to thwart any misadventure by the enemy and stand alert to defend every inch of the motherland.

“The real face of India is exposed as it is supporting and promoting terrorism in Pakistan and creating tension on borders through unprovoked firing along Sialkot Working Boundary and the Line of Control (LoC).”

Kh Asif was talking to the newsmen after expressing solidarity with the Indian shelling affected people at border village Kundanpur in Sucheetgarh sector along Sialkot Working Boundary on Sunday.

Local MNA Ch Armughan Subhani, MPAs - Ch Muhammad Ikram and Ch Arshad Javaid Warraich were also present on the occasion.

The federal defence minister expressed solidarity with locals affected by the Indian BSF shelling and hostilities in border villages and lauded their resilience and spirit.

He assured the affected villagers that the federal government will soon compensate them for damages to their houses, cattle sheds and killings of cattle heads due to unprovoked Indian firing.

Kh Asif warned that Pakistan would respond befittingly, if India continues targeting civilian population along the Sialkot Working Boundary.

He said that the entire nation stands united shoulder to shoulder with the armed forces for the defence of the motherland.

The minister pointed out that Indian forces violated ceasefire agreement on the LoC and Sialkot Working Boundary 178 times in the current year.

Kh Asif declared that India is diverting world attention from its internal failures by creating tension on the borders.

The minister said killings of innocent people in Indian occupied Kashmir has exposed the real face of India.

Meanwhile, the federal minister for defence, water and power held an open court at PML-N House on Paris here.

He listened to the public complaints regarding various departments and ordered on-the-spot relief for several applicants.

Local MPAs Ch Muhammad Ikram, Mansha-Ullah Butt, PML-N local leaders - Tauheed Akhtar, Babar Khan, Muhammad Rafique Mughal, PML-N district general secretary Shujaat Ali Pasha, Youth Wing District President Muhammad Farooq Ghuman and Women Wing Sialkot City president Nusrat Jamshaid Malik were also present on the occasion.
