CPEC is the reflection of strong Sino-Pak relations. There have been many feeble attempts in the past to sabotage the project to bring it down by virtue of its criticism. But the project of CPEC, based on one belt one road ideology, is flourishing more than ever. The latest episode of anti-CPEC manoeuvring is attributable to a political party whose political acumen is not mature enough to appreciate the benefits for Pakistan of CPEC. In this attempt the western route of the project was targeted and it was falsely reported on behalf of Chinese ambassador that it is not part of the project.

However the prompt reply from the ambassador of China advising a responsibility-attitude to Pakistani media and politicians, has clarified this issue. We must not forget that China has invested $14 billion in 30 early harvest projects to be completed under CPEC.
