BNU students to star in television drama

In an effort to provide hands on practical experience to the media studies students, the School of Media and Mass Communication (SMC) of Beaconhouse National University and a leading entertainment channel have signed a memorandum of understanding. Under the agreement, the varsity will practically engage the students of SMC in soap ‘Yeah Meri Zindagi’ for approximately 150 episodes.

The Dean of SMC, Prof. Dr. Taimur-ul-Hassan and Executive Director, Leo Network, Mr. Nauman Abid signed the MOU.  Prof Dr. Taimur-ul-Hassan said the collaboration would help the students of SMC in getting the practical knowledge of drama production in the upmost professional manner.  He also added that the students of SMC would also get an opportunity to attend the workshops and training sessions by the professionals of the channel.

In the MOU, both parties agreed upon the future prospects of their collaboration. The network runs by Filmazia Channel would fund 50% of academic support to the 12 students working in the project. Leo Television Network would also arrange internships for the students of SMC.  The location of the shoot is set to be on the premises of BNU.
