Sports Day marked at Westminster Int’l School

Islamabad - It was all fun and enjoyment at the annual sports day organised by the Westminster International School at the Pakistan Sports Complex.

The event was widely and enthusiastically enjoyed by the students who took part in athletics, gymnastics and karate display. Those not participating in any competition were also fully engaged in the activities and bucked up their friends.

Ch. Daniyal was chief guest on the occasion. He appreciated the efforts of the participants and encouraged those supporting and bucking up the players.

“We need to encourage athletics activities in society and promote sports among the youth,” he said.

He stressed that participation in sports also provides stimulation for study and hard work by inculcating the spirit of competition among youth as well as tolerance. Involvement in sports not also builds physical strength but contributes to mental fitness too. This helps students become well-rounded individual. The school management expressed its resolve to arrange such events in future to encourage team-spirit, and inculcate discipline.

The students who secured positions in various competitions were also given prizes.
