KARACHI Awami National Party (ANP) Sindh Chief Shahi Syed on Wednesday said that Punjab should respect the unanimous consensus of three provinces on Kalabagh Dam, saying that it would be in the best interest of the country. ANP Sindh President in his statement said that the construction of Kalabagh Dam could sink Khyber-Pukhtunkhwa province while making the Sindh province barren. He said that the issue of Kalabagh dam had already been dumped saying that it was necessary for the well being of the country to respect the consensus of small provinces and to concentrate on the other alternate resources. He said that difference of opinion was the right of everyone but discussing the controversial issues could serve no purpose for the national unity. He said that the resolution of Punjab Assembly in the favour of Kalabagh Dam was hurting the sentiments of people of Sindh, Balochistan and Khyber-Pukhtunkhwa.
