PESHAWAR - At least six suspected militants were killed and two others got injured in a US drone attack in North Waziristan Agency here on Wednesday evening. According to details, a US unmanned aircraft reportedly fired two missiles which targeted a suspected militants compound in Datta Khel area in Miranshah. As a result, at least six suspected militants were killed and two others sustained injuries. Sources informed that the house, which was destroyed in the attack, was reportedly used by the militants. They said that after the attack militants cordoned off the area. It is relevant to mention here that in the recent past, US has carried out several such attacks in the tribal areas. According to BBC, the dead included local Taliban commander Zahid Khan. AFP adds: At least three more suspected militants were killed when the US drone fired two missiles on a house in the Hormuz area of Mir Ali town of North Waziristan Agency in the second strike, security officials said. Another security official said the missiles fired by a US drone destroyed the house, which has been surrounded by militants. The US drone have carried out six drone attacks in the last six days.
