Ahsan Iqbal, high-ups visit model police station

VEHARI - Under the supervision of PML-N central leader Ahsan Iqbal, a model police station has been competed in Vehari.
On the completion, a delegation comprising regional police officers Amar Zulfiqar (Multan), Rao Sardar Ali (Bahawalpur), Muhammad Nawaz (Dera Ghazi Khan), M Amen (Gujranwala) and Muhammad Farooq and Ahsan iqbal.
However, 11 district police officers including Agha Muhammad Yousuf, Ray Ijaz, Jhanzaid Nazeer, Ghulam Mubashar, Abdullah Niazi, Malik Sikandar Hayat, Faisal Raja, Gohar Nafees, Rao Zahoor and Muhammad Javed were also present during the visit which was organised by Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, the DPO of Vehari.
Addressing the participants, Mr Ahsan appreciated the strenuous efforts of the DPO and termed him a pioneer.
He said that it looked a story to bring positives reforms in the police but the DPO had proved that community police can be succeeded.
Ahsan said that the government wanted to make a system that works even after transfers of high officials. Such reforms would be introduced across the Punjab if it produces satisfactory results.
On the occasion, Ali Nasir termed the day very prestigious for him because, the DPO said, he was being appreciated and lauded by the entire administration and the police force.
He demonstrated multiple aspects of modern police like ensuring complaint boxes, separate officials for every task, open courts, feedback, tracking devices in patrolling vehicles, legal aid counter, child abuse cell, anti-women harassment centre, sketch-making, biometric systems, capacity-building meeting halls, trauma centres, Masalihati or reconciliation committees, best official of month rewards, recreational rooms, interaction with NGOs and the media.
The DPO further said that the purpose of the police is to protect and facilitate the public.
