No let-up in banditry as several robbed of valuables

GUJRANWALA-There is no let-up in street crime as bandits deprived citizens of cash, gold ornaments, vehicles and other valuables in separate incident occurred in different areas over the past 48 hours.
According to police sources, Nawaz and his wife were on the way to home when three armed men intercepted them in the remit of Nowshera Virkan police. The outlaws snatched Rs22,000, gold ornaments and an applied for motorcycle from them. In Emanabad, robbers looted Rs25,000, gold ornament and cellphone from Ehtisham and his wife; at Ahmed Nagar bandits looted Rs2000 and two cellphones from Habib; in Ferozwala, Khalid was deprived of Rs18,000 and two cellphones; in the Wazirabad City area, dacoits took away Rs27,000 and two cellphones from Waheed; in Gharjakh, armed men snatched Rs16,000 and cellphone from Alia while in People’s Colony robbers looted Rs11,000 and two cellphones from Haleem Ahmed.
Similarly in the limits of Sabzi Mandi police, Asim was robbed of Rs9,000 and cellphone; in Khiali area, armed men took away an applied for motorcycle from Shahbaz at gunpoint and a brand new motorcycle owned by Irfan was stolen from the Cantt Police precincts.
