Army face Wapda in National Women’s Basketball final

LAHORE-Pakistan Army will face defending champions Pakistan Wapda in National Women’s Basketball Championship final to be played today (Friday) at Pakistan Sports Complex Islamabad. 
National Assembly Standing Committee Inter-Provincial Coordination Chairman Nawab Sher Waseer along with Olympian Rana Mujhaid, PBBF Secretary Khalid Bashir, organizing secretary Ouj-e-Zahoor and others also witnessed the matches.
Unbeatable Wapda continued their good show in the championship and thrashed hosts Islamabad Blues in the first semifinal 63-21. Wapda ace player Sidra Hakim again led the winning side by scoring 14 points while Mehvish Nawaz (10), Kainat Zafar (8) also played well. 
In the second semifinal, Pakistan Army trounced Karachi 66-15 to set final clash against Wapda. Army girls also maintained their dominance in the championship and comfortably won the crucial match. Kashifa was top player for Army with 15 points while Ayesha Khan scored 12 points.a
