QUETTA - Four new additional judges of Balochistan High Court (BHC) will take oath today (Monday). The High Court sources say President Asif Ali Zardari on the recommendation of the Chief Justice had issued yesterday orders for appointing four additional judges in the BHC. The new judges are: Ghulam Mustafa Mengal, Tahira Safdar, Muhammad Noor Miskanzai and Jamal Khan Mandokhel. Chief Justice BHC Qazi Faez Essa will administer the oath at the High Court Building. It may be recalled that all the five PCO judges, including former chief justice Amanullah Yaseenzai of the BHC, had resigned on August 4 after the historical decision of the Supreme Court, and later on, Qazi Faez Essa was appointed as the new chief justice. After the new appointments, the number of BHC judges has risen to five, while six posts are still lying vacant. Online adds: Two newly-appointed judges of Supreme Court including Justice Khilji Arif Hussain and Justice (r) Rehmat Hussain would take oath of their offices on Monday (today) in a simple but dignified ceremony. On Saturday, President Asif Ali Zardari appointed Justice Khilji Arif Hussain, Sindh High Court Judge and Rehman Hussain Jaffery, former SHC Judge as SC judges. Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhary would administrate the oath from newly appointed judges of the apex court. With the appointments of two more judges, the strength of SC judges reached 17 including CJ Iftikhar Ch. Attorney General Sardar Latif Khosa and lawyers would attend the ceremony.
