WASA to change filtration plants

RAWALPINDI (NNI) - Water and Sanitation Authority (WASA) and the City District Government have decided to change all the water filtration plants after the complaints of dirty and contaminated water in supply lines from citizens. Sources said that the authorities received complaints of unhygienic water from filtration plants and wretched plants in different areas because of defective material. Some testing laboratories also have confirmed supply of unhygienic water from the supply lines. The authorities directed to change all the filtration plants in city after receiving complaints. Sources also said that Chief Minster Mian Shehbaz Sharif has approved the Chrah Dam project to overcome water problems in city. This project would be completed at the cost of Rs 3.5 million and abundant water will be available for the citizens of Rawalpindi, sources said. The project will start soon.
