LAHORE -Lahore High Court Chief Justice Khawaja Muha-mmad Sharif on Monday called for the appearance of Superintendent of Police (investigation) Islamabad in a suo moto case initiated against the abduction and torture on a journalist by unidentified persons on Saturday morning when he was on the way to Gujranwala from Isla-mabad. Senior Superintendent of Police, Islamabad, Tahir Alam appeared in the court and stated a special investigating team comprising DSP CIA and DSP CID, under the supervision of SP industrial area zone had been constituted. However, he said, no arrest had been made so far. The CJ adjourned hearing till 15th with a direction to the SP to appear on that date.
