ISLAMABAD (APP) - Secretary of Religious Affairs Agha Sardar Raza Qazalbash said on Monday that the Saudi government had expressed its regret to allocate extra Haj quota for not only Pakistan but for the whole Muslim Ummah due to over capacity in Mina. Talking to this news agency, the secretary said that the Haj flights schedule would be announced next week. Responding to a question, he said that till now the ministry had hired buildings for 30,000 pilgrims while the process for the rest was in progress. No mismanagement would be tolerated in the hiring of buildings, he added. Qazalbash stated that the Ministry of Religious Affairs has sought recommendations from the Director General Haj, Jeddah, on the submitted by the Parliamentary Hiring Review Committee on the issue of hiring buildings. When asked about the Haj process of the people belonging to flood affected areas he said those who have cancelled their Haj programme can get their refunded from banks, which have issued directives in this regard.
