ISLAMABAD - The Khyber Pakhtunkhawa has regularized as many as 489 employees of the Frontier Education Foundation, says a report, which was submitted in the Supreme Court on Friday in compliance of the court order in Civil Appeal No. 313 to 315 of 2012.
The report intimates that competent authority has regularized 489 employees of Frontier Education Foundation.
A three-member headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry and comprising Justice Ijaz Ahmed Chaudhry and Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed hearing the case on 8th July 2013 had ordered the KPK government to regularize them.
The bench was informed that the respondents are in the employment of KPK Frontier Education Foundation. They are serving in the educational institutions/colleges in different parts of the province and all these institutions are governed under the Act of 1992.
Initially some of them were taken on contract for teaching purpose in the colleges and their pay scales were fixed at Rs 7,500 subsequent thereto the same was enhanced to Rs 14,500/- and now they are getting about Rs 16,500. It was admitted position that there are about 80 lecturers who have spent a period of about ten years in the educational institution of the Foundation as contract employees.
Director Frontier Education Foundation, KPK, had given the commitment before the court that that they would implement the Peshawar High Court judgment.
