PESHAWAR -  Awami National Party (ANP) Khyber Agency Friday demanded the Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) to ensure a respectable return of 47,000 Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) presently living in various parts of the province.

The IDPs families from Medan area of Tirah valley are living in miserable condition in Peshawar and Kohat having no necessary living facilities. The PTI government must take stapes for their safe return to their homes, as so far the KPK government does not have any plan.

This demand was made in ANP Khyber Agency’ meeting held at Baacha Khan Markaz Friday. The meeting was presided over by Bashir Khan Matta, Chairman Election Commission and Organising Committee Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Besides ANP Khyber Agency leadership, the meeting was also attended by Provincial Election Commission, including Jamila Gilani, Secretary General,  Sadruddin Marwat, Provincial Spokesman, Syed Jaffar Shah, Secretary Finance, Syed Aqil Shah while Latif Afridi Advocate, Mian Iftikhar Hussain and Imran Afridi attended the meeting on special invitation.

The tribal elders took special interest in the organizational process and showed satisfaction over this move. They showed willingness to take active part in the party organisational process. The meeting was addressed by Bashir Matta, Latif Afridi and Mian Iftikhar Hussain.

Bashir Matta praised the role of tribal people to face the present challenges and situation in tribal area. He said that all Pakhtuns, including tribal people, are passing through difficult times now a days. These can only be overcome through unity among all Pakhtuns. He said that ANP is standing by the Pakhtuns and tribal people in this difficult time. He demanded the government and other authorities to make necessary measures for respectable and peaceful return of 47,000 IDPs families from Medan area of Tirah valley.
