Robert Pattinson has signed up to star opposite Dane DeHaan in new film Life.
The Twilight hunk will play Life magazine photographer Dennis Stock in the film about Stock’s friendship with screen legend James Dean, played by Dane, E! News reported. The film is being directed by Anton Corbijn, whose previous work includes the Ian Curtis biopic Control and The American starring George Clooney.
Stock was a young photographer working for the Magnum agency when he was assigned to shoot James Dean before he was launched to stardom with the 1955 film East Of Eden. The pair bonded as they travelled together from Los Angeles to New York to Indiana for the job. And during the trip Stock took some photos of the young rebel that have gone on to become iconic images.
Life is due to begin filming early next year.
R-Patz has recently been shooting David Cronenberg’s Maps To The Stars with Mia Wasikowska on location in Los Angeles.
