LAKKI MARWAT: The district education department will hold awareness walks and seminars at district and circle level to make the enrollment campaign a success.

It was told at a meeting held in the district education office on Friday with DEO Haji Taj Ali Khan in the chair. DDEO Haji Khalid Wahab, SDEO Nasrullah Jan, NCHD district programme manager Illyas Khattak, ADEO Nisar Muhammad and ASDEOs were in the attendance.

Speaking at the meeting, the DEO informed that over one thousand posters and banners carrying messages about the importance of education and kids' enrollment in schools would be displayed in the entire district. He also directed the head teachers of primary schools to display banners carrying such message on the main gates of their respective schools.

Ali also directed the subordinate officials especially ASDEOs to assign tasks to the head teachers and teachers and monitor the drive to ensure achieving desired results. He told that prayers' leaders and religious scholars would be requested to highlight the importance of children's enrolment in schools during Friday sermons. "The heads of schools should activate parent teacher councils besides they should hold meeting with community members in their respective localities to get enrolled all children (4-9 years) in the schools," he maintained.–Staff Reporter
